Chambered in 5.56 NATO, the barrel offers consistent reliability and on‑target effectiveness in a reduced footprint, making it well‑suited for duty use, range training, and modular customization. The rifle uses a direct gas impingement operating system and a MIL‑SPEC bolt carrier group with a HP/MPI tested bolt for proven performance.

A Colt free‑float handguard provides a rigid, lightweight mounting platform, incorporating a full‑length Picatinny top rail and Magpul® M‑LOK® slots for optics and accessory integration without affecting barrel harmonics.
